My Week Alone

Oh blogger how I missed you. How I missed reading other people's blog and laughing my arse off at how funny my long-lost-blogger-buddies are. Jeezus you guys crack me up!

So what's going on in O-town. Not too much. Last weekend Chris, Christine and Waffles (their dog) were here. It was shittay weather to say the least. There was two huge accidents on the highway. One was something like a 22 car pile-up and the other was a 38 car pile-up. Yep...it was crap. We stayed in friday night when all this was going on. Our plan was to go to Winterlude and see the ice sculptures, skate on the canal and have a beavertail (no worries....it's not real, it's just a pastry). Then we planned to go Saturday but it was -38C with the wind. Screw that. So we managed to go to the casino and go to the bars (a pub, a 25 & up and a strip bar). Oh yeah, there may have been a few alcoholic beverages drank. I've come to the conclusion that I'm quite content with having drinks at home and not spending rediculous amounts of money at the bar.

I've become a grown up and started investing in RRSP's. I have Jeff and Bill to thank for that. They kept on me and told me it's a smart thing to do. So I did it. Phew. Being a grown up sucks. I'd much rather be a kid and save my money for doll clothes, barbies and accessories for Raina and my beauty salon. That's right...we were funny like that. We had our little shop in my basement, practiced on my barbies and would answer the phone "Look 140, hair and ears, we do it all!". Remember that Raina?! Bwahahahaha

Okay. So I went to this cute and new little tea shop. I've been drinking tea like crazy. I'm off the coffee and on the tea. I decided to try a tea defuser and I friggin' love it. As I type, I'm enjoying the taste of my new found favorite flavor - Chocolate Mint Tea. Oh. Yum. EE. So, I'm hooked and I'm going to be buying way more tea leaves from now on. I'm a loser...I know, but it's sooo yummy. Oh! And I tried this new found drink called Bubble Tea. Yeah I had no idea but i heard from a few people that it's really good. So, I had to get this poor little asian girl to explain it to me. It's a cold tea and you have an option to make it a slush. There's different flavors and they put tapioca balls in the bottom of it. It doesn't sound as good as it tastes, but trust me, it's awesome.

Oh man Grey (from my absolute favorite show - Grey's Anatomy) is fooling around with my George's heart. I'm gonna slap that bitch real soon. She's in love with McDreamy, and George just told her how he feels about it. How truely in love he is with every little quirk she has and that she just doesn't even see him. The last episode ended that way and she started to take his shirt off. I'm gonna hurt her if ever I see her in the streets. Seriously, I don't know what it is about him but every week I go chat with my Grey-Gals at work and keep saying "I love him more". Can't wait to see Sunday's episode. It's not until then that I'm going to decide just how much I hate Grey.

Okay. As I'm writting this it's a day later from the other stuff I just wrote. I logged off to chat with Heather last night and while I was on the phone you'll never guess what happened in O-town. WE HAD AN EARTHQUAKE! Sure it only lasted 5 seconds and it was only 4.0 on the rictor scale but it's my first ever! I think I almost pooped myself. At first I thought it was one of the big trucks that might have run into the gas station which is literraly 100ft away. I looked out the window and it wasn't that. Turns out it was an actual earth quake. I do believe my exact words to Heather were "What the F*ck is going on!! The whole house is shaking!" And of course something like this would happen when I'm all alone. I don't usually get creeped out but this scared me a little.

Now I'm drinking my peach-apricot tea. Yummers. Okay, enough with that. Oh yeah, a few of the girls from work and I are going to spend a day in an outdoor spa. And yes, its winter time here. But apparently it's unbelievable and sooo relaxing. For $35 you can spend the entire day there using the pools, waterfalls, saunas, hottubs, steamrooms and lounges. But for $105 you can have all that plus a 1 hour massage, a glass of wine and a cheeze tray. I'm definitaly going for that package. I can't wait.

So, I shall be on a little more this week and I can visit my fav blogs again. I used to check them out once a week at work and now they cut us off. My aunt and a few others would do the same and can't anymore. Which suck. The big one.

your spa day went from $35 to $105??? For a freeking massage!?? I hate people touching me. Eeewww!!

I'm not a coffee drinker. Never have been.....but I dig tea? And you bought tea accessories??? What the heck is a diffuser? Bring it home when you come up in April. We'll have a grown up tea party instead of getting licked on liquor.

You and your tea! I'm still not convinced - maybe we'll have to have a tea party too. If Raina every scoots up to O-town, we can all pretend we are grown up and sofisticated!!!
I never heard anything about the "quake" - that would have freaked me right out!
Can't wait for Thursday night - sooo looking forward to hanging with you in the big city!
